.NET Conf 2026: Microsoft presents .NET 11 from November 10 to 12
Microsoft presents .NET 11 at .NET Conf 2026, November 10 to 12. What it changes, or doesn't, for business applications built on .NET 10.
Microsoft will hold .NET Conf 2026 from November 10 to 12, online and free. As every year, the event marks the launch of the platform's new version, .NET 11.
Should you migrate your applications?
Not necessarily, and not right away. Microsoft alternates two types of releases:
- LTS (long-term support) releases, supported for three years;
- STS (standard-term support) releases, supported for two years.
.NET 10 is an LTS release, supported by Microsoft until November 14, 2028. Following the usual cycle, .NET 11 should be an STS release. For a business application, we generally recommend staying on the LTS release and planning the move to the next LTS at the right time, rather than chasing every version.
What to watch
- If your applications still run on .NET 8 or 9: their support ends on November 10, 2026. Now is the time to move to .NET 10 (see our article on the end of support for .NET 8 and 9).
- What's new in .NET 11: we'll follow the conference announcements, particularly on performance, AI and security, and bring them into our projects when they deliver a real gain.
Every application built by Synergice runs on .NET 10 and is kept up to date throughout its life. A question about your applications' version? Write to us.
